Electrónica “verde”, televisores HD sin cables o el papel electrónico con mayor resolución del mundo, serán algunos de los protagonistas de la feria de electrónica de consumo
Más de 140 mil asistentes y 2 mil firmas expositoras se darán cita en esta edición de la muestra, que se ha convertido en el mayor escaparate mundial para las próximas tendencias en electrónica.
Este año, los expertos opinan que la feria estará dominada por los teléfonos de pantalla táctil similares al iPhone de Apple, los últimos televisores de alta definición sin cables (reciben la señal mediante una conexión inalámbrica) o las grandes pantallas LCD.
Uno de los productos más esperados es el nuevo televisor LCD de Philips LG, con una gigantesca pantalla táctil de 52 pulgadas para aquellos que prefieren tocar a utilizar el mando a distancia.
Philips LG acaparará también la atención con la presentación de un nuevo tipo de papel electrónico flexible con una resolución de 1.280 por 800 pixeles, la mayor alcanzada hasta ahora por este producto.La lámina muestra 16 millones de colores y, según Philips LG, “acabará reemplazando a enciclopedias, cómics y libros de texto” .
Entre las novedades de informática destacó la firma taiwanesa ASUS conocida por su ordenador de bajo costo Eee, que presentará en Las Vegas un portátil con una capacidad de almacenamiento de un terabyte.
Pero esta edición de la CES promete además ser la más verde, ante la creciente preocupación de los consumidores por el alto consumo energético de los artículos electrónicos.
Conscientes de ello, los fabricantes están reaccionando con aparatos capaces de recargarse con energías renovables, por lo que, posiblemente, la CES estará bien surtida de productos como el Iqua 603 SUN, un dispositivo Bluetooth que se recarga con energía solar.
Fujitsu presentará un portátil de carcasa biodegradable fabricada con maíz en lugar de plástico, mientras que la firma californiana Z-Power mostrará unas baterías de plata y zinc más respetuosas con el medio ambiente que de litio que potencian la mayoría de los ordenadores portátiles.
Los organizadores de la CES también se han apuntado a la tendencia verde y han asegurado que la feria se convertirá en esta edición la primera muestra de su tamaño que logre reducir su “huella ecológica” , su balance de emisiones a la atmósfera.
Por ejemplo, los casi 158 mil metros cuadrados de la muestra están este año alfombrados con moqueta reciclable y cerca del 75 por ciento de los contenedores de comida serán biodegradables.
Además, los organizadores de la CES adquirirán toneladas de créditos de carbono para compensar sus emisiones y ofrecerán a los asistentes la opción de hacer lo mismo para contrarrestar las emisiones de CO2 de los aviones tomados para asistir a la feria.
