Toshiba España está reforzando su presencia en el mercado de videocámaras digitales con HD integrado y Alta Definición con la llegada de las nuevas series Gigashot A y K.
La compañía presenta cuatro modelos de Gigashot, dos de las cuales tienen un peso inferior al medio kilo (495 gr), que disponen de discos duros de hasta 100 GB, lo que asegura una capacidad de almacenamiento de hasta 12 horas en video en Alta Definición, en una resolución máxima de 1920 x 1080 y 23 horas en definición estándar.
Para Margarita Guirao, Responsable de Opciones y Periféricos de Toshiba en España, “el lanzamiento de estos dispositivos supone para la compañía una apuesta estratégica por el mercado de videocámaras de Alta Definición. Los objetivos de la compañía son alcanzar el segundo puesto del mercado en 2009″.
Por su parte, el director de Marketing de la filial española de la multinacional japonesa, Pablo Romero explica que “con estas videocámaras se amplía la oferta de la compañía en cuanto a dispositivos de entretenimiento para el Hogar Digital basados en la Alta Definición y en ofrecer las mejores prestaciones en cuanto a imagen y sonido. El concepto de Hogar Digital engloba claramente la llegada de una nueva era de entretenimiento doméstico en la que la convergencia digital entre informática y electrónica de consumo será básica. En este sentido, nuestra oferta es pionera, ya que ponemos en manos de los consumidores equipos y soluciones de una gran calidad y avanzada tecnología con un claro enfoque en el desarrollo de esa convergencia”.

John,I do share your concern for the well being of the Mekong River and how important is has been for million depended population. I grew up in the Mekong delta myself. As one of the downstream riparian countries Vietnam’s Mekong Delta is no doubt will be the most affected. The dam will alter the natural river flow patterns in the delta and upset the balance of the ecosystem. Reduction of flow would create problems of salinity intrusion in the lower delta areas. The dam will act as a fish migration barrier, trapping the mountain sediment flow that has been the neutralising sources for the acid sulfate soils problem in the delta for thousand of years. The downstream people have to live with the risk of dam break that would generate such a destructive tsumani wave, destroying everything in it path.
