Alcatel venderá su modelo One Touch Sport con un cargador que usa la energía solar para alimentar el teléfono móvil, informa la edición digital de “El Mercurio”.
Durante el verano, la energía que más abunda es la solar. Y para aprovecharla, y de pasada ayudar a ahorrar algunos pesos, es que existen los cargadores solares para el celular.
A pesar de que en el mercado ya circulan algunos modelos, Alcatel anunció que traerá a Chile el primer teléfono con un cargador solar incluido. Se trata de la batería OT- BE81, que por supuesto, no necesita de enchufes para funcionar, sino que carga el teléfono al traspasar la energía que capta al celular.
Estará en el país dentro del primer trimestre del 2009, como un accesorio del teléfono móvil One Touch Sport, de Alcatel.
Este tipo de artículos resultan ideales para viajeros, ya que permite tener el celular siempre cargado, aún en una zona aislada. Alcatel explicó que su modelo es muy sencillo de utilizar y tiene un tamaño que permite guardarlo cómodamente en un bolsillo. Además, su uso contribuye al cuidado del medioambiente.
El cargador OT- BE81 necesita estar expuesto a la luz solar durante unas horas, tras las cuales puede proveer la suficiente energía para cargar un teléfono móvil. Además, si el usuario desea, puede cargarse a través de un clave USB. Una vez cargado, se puede reutilizar incluso en la oscuridad para retener toda la energía generada en la batería interna.
Este cargador tiene un peso de 55 gramos, y para funcionar debe estar en un ambiente con una temperatura de 0ºC a 55ºC. Su eficiencia de la energía solar convertida es de más de un 16%.
Usa una batería recargable de litio, de 1000mAh, y se demora unos 100 minutos en cargar el celular.
