La vuelta de Steve Jobs, y un nuevo iPod Nano, las estrellas de la última Keynote de Apple.
La primera sensación que le queda a uno después de la ‘Keynote’ es, no vamos a negarlo, de decepción. Una actualización del hardware del iPod Touch de 32 GB y una nueva versión de 64 GB, una actualización de software del Shuffle y una edición limitada de éste y, por último, un nuevo iPod Nano no parecen motivos suficientes para una Keynote.
Una vez en frío, la sensación es algo diferente. Sí, quizás a nivel de productos ha sido floja, pero la vuelta de un Steve Jobs, aunque algo flaco, pero lleno de vitalidad a Apple es una de las noticias tecnológicas más importantes del año. Ha sido una ‘Keynote’ descafeinada.
A nivel de sensaciones, sólo la vuelta de Steve Jobs ha provocado una gran ovación entre el público de San Francisco y Londres (donde nos encontrábamos la prensa europea). Ningún producto se ha llevado una ovación. Sólo los comentarios hilarantes de Steve Jobs, conseguían sacar al público algo más que tímidos aplausos.
El ritmo de la presentación tampoco ha ayudado. Ha empezado muy lenta, con el nuevo iTunes, las alabanzas al iPod Touch y la aparición de los partners más importantes en videojuegos. Justo después, ha emprendido un ritmo vertiginoso. Un tras otro, el directivo de Apple ha ido anunciado todas las novedades de los dispositivos.
Eso sí, aunque ni el ritmo ni los dispositivos han estado a la altura, el nuevo iTunes 9 propone grandes mejoras. El software se actualiza, con un diseño mucho más limpio, sencillo y con multitud de sorpresas muy agradables, como el iTunes LP.
Dejando un lado la presentación, y siendo sinceremos, la vuelta de Jobs es la noticia del día. Bueno, del día, del mes y , probablemente, del año. Todo lo demás, queda en un segundo plano. Haciendo una analogía del nombre de ésta Keynote, podríamos resumirla como It’s Only Steve Jobs (But I Like It) - Es sólo Steve Jobs (pero nos gusta).
Para finalizar, y como curiosidad (los que nos hayáis seguido a través de Twitter lo habréis notado), Twitter ha caído debido a la ‘Keynote’ de Apple. Los servidores no han aguantado los twitteos en directo tanto de los asistentes en San Francisco y Londres, como los que seguían la presentación ya fuese desde su casa, su universidad o su lugar de trabajo.
