Flurry una empresa de análisis de aplicaciones móviles asegura que el Droid de Motorola ha vendido más unidades en sus primeros 74 días a la venta que el iPhone en el mismo período.
El dispositivo de Apple habría vendido 1 millón de aparatos, mientras el Droid, 1.050.000 teléfonos.
Por otra parte, el Nexus One, el celular producido y comercializado por Google en sociedad con el fabricante HTC está muy por debajo de estas cifras con 135.000 unidades enviadas. Eso sí, este modelo todavía no cumple 74 días en el mercado –fue lanzado el 5 de enero- pero lo más probable es que no alcance el millón de unidades.
El Motorola Droid fue el primer celular que incluyó la versión 2.0 del sistema operativo de Google Android, y según los más entendidos, logra una gran combinación entre el hardware y el software, y perfilándose como uno de los pocos que podrían hacerle el peso al iPhone.
Según Flurry, Google y Apple libran una fuerte batalla por el mercado móvil, donde la marca de la manzana tiene una leve ventaja por su plataforma de aplicaciones para terceros, que permite que prácticamente cualquier desarrollador cree un programa para este dispositivo.
