One thing I want to say is that before buying more pc memory, look at the machine in to which it would be installed. If your machine is actually running Windows XP, for instance, the particular memory limit is 3.25GB. The installation of over this would basically constitute a waste. Be sure that one’s motherboard can handle this upgrade volume, as well. Good blog post.

A lot of people think of the electric cigarette as a stop smoking device. For me, smoking electric cigarettes has made smoking more enjoyable and has removed some of the downside and even made it somewhat cheaper – so it hasn’t done much to help me quit – al least I’m not getting so many chemicals, tar and other bad stuff.

Anand got mad with The Nation today (Fri) as he found the paper put profile of his committee’s members in different way he dictated to media. He released Chaianant’s tag as educator but The Nation put it principal of Wachirawut School. He put Seksan as ex-student leader but the paper wrote he was a former dean of Thammasat’s Political Science Faculty. I don’t know why he was angry with that but he tried to explian that he picked up these people in accordance with their qualification, rather than their positions or official titles. But I think the point is that Anand tried to dictate media to control public opinion.

Yes, let’s ignore moderates like Sukhumbhand. Poor fool, he is so lost in the real world or “let’s shut Thaksin up for ever.” Better still, why not keep the red shirt media off the air forever and hunt down the “extremists” so they can’t possibly influence anyone else. This is really beginning to sound like a kind of fascist extremism. But what the heck, the middle class wants it, so it must be good. Once the extremists are all shut up for ever, it will be easier. Shutting up can be censorship, arrest and murder or whatever the royalists/yellows/StooG’s want because we hate them all.

“In fact, the ECT categorizes vote no ballots, incorrectly filled ballots and any other problematic ballots as “wasted ballots”.” No. The ECT distinguishes between invalid ballots and no-vote ballots (just have a look at one of their election statistics reports).

I am not affiliated with any research and I am not of tribal heritage. As a L&D RN I believe both sides had an obligation. The researchers had an obligation to provide informed consent in the appropriate language, because it isn’t informed consent if the person doesn’t understand all of it. The researchers also had an obligation to recognize and respect the tribal heritage, which they should have studied before hand, so they would know they would need to return the blood. The tribal members had an obligation to inform the researchers that they would need the blood back because of their beliefs and/or had an obligation to refuse to participate if they didn’t understand everything being explained. I do not believe it takes a college education to understand that one is not obligated to participate in a research that they don’t understand. Now, I also believe that this gross oversight did not warrant a $700,000 settlement (around $17,000/person). OK, blood was drawn for diabetic studies, but other things could be studied as well how did this hurt this person the blood was drawn from? Yes, they should have explained that other test could “possibly” be done or “would” be done, but though they failed to explain this part, doesn’t warrant financial gain. Apologize, return the blood and remember your ethical training.

Jumping off of what Brian said, i think there has been little attempt in the past to make ColdFusion known to college students and up until recently it always had a cost associated to it. When you are in college, free (php, .Net, etc.) is always going to appeal to the students. I know Adobe is making a push into High Ed (making it free) and I know that it would have made my life easier if I had CF as an available option for some of the group projects that I had to do.I also agree that most college students are self-versed in web programming. When i was in school (2002) there wasn’t even a web programming course offered, it was C and only C. I took a database class and that was my first formal introduction to a Web Application and we were told you have access to a PHP and MySql installation that was run by a grad student or figure a way out yourself, and don’t bother asking for help with either one.
