LG Electronics amplía su gama de navegadores GPS con un nuevo modelo en dos versiones (LN500 y LN510 según cartografía y memoria) que destaca por su procesador Atlas II, su ranura para tarjetas Micro SD para cargar imágenes y puerto USB 1.1 que aumenta la conectividad del dispositivo. Además incorpora el chipset Sirf Star III que lo hace más sensible y genera un consumo menor e incorpora el sistema operativo Win CE 5.0.
El nuevo navegador de LG se caracteriza por una pantalla táctil TFT LCD 4:3 de 3,5 pulgadas, con resolución de 320×240 QVGA, en la que se visualizan los iconos con comodidad y facilita la visibilidad del usuario en modo navegación. Además, el LN500 dispone de sistema de guiado por voz, en once idiomas, que llega al conductor claramente gracias a su altavoz de alta potencia.
En su memoria interna de 512 MB, el navegador LG LN500 tiene instalado la cartografía de España y Portugal y el navegador LG LN510 integra los mapas completos de Europa y viene con una tarjeta de memoria SD de 1Gb. Las cartografías son actualizables online a través de la página web www.lge.com/support/software.jsp que también ofrece un servicio de atención al cliente. El visualizado de mapas es posible hacerlo en 2 o en 3D y dispone de dos modos de iluminación día/noche para adaptarse a cualquier situación y momento de la conducción.
En tan sólo 18,7 mm y con un diseño extra fino, el nuevo GPS de LG tiene una autonomía de 3 horas y no sólo es un navegador sino que se convierte en un visor de fotografías introduciendo la tarjeta de la cámara a través de la ranura SD además de un magnífico guía ya que identifica los puntos de interés de la ciudad en la que se encuentre el conductor.

Decir que mi LG LN500 funciona perfectamente con el tomtom 6, mapas 675_1409 de España y Portugal con la ultima actulizacion de los radares de Robser de fecha 15072007.
Tambien comentar que esta instalacion no influye sobre el DestinAtor ND, es decir que podemos utilizar uno u otro según guste.
Si que perdemos el visor de fotos que es precisamente donde vamos a instalar el Explorer.exe, y a su vez desde donde vamos a ejecutar el tomtom 6, perdemos el visor de fotos, si, pero podemos instalar cualquier soft de video y foto en el Explorer con muchas mas posibilidades, bueno pero eso es otra historia, que ahora no tiene cuento.

No hay actualizaciones del Destinator que usa, que es muy antiguo. En el servicio tecnico no saben nada.
Un desastre, si te lo acabas de comprar devuelvelo.
Es una verguenza que su ultima actualizacion sea del 2006,yo llame al servicio tecnico en enero del 2008 y me dijeron que estaba apunto de salir y a un precio de 90€,podrian seguir el ritmo del tomtom que se puede actualizar casi a diario y gratis a traves de su pagina web,nos sale mas rentable cambiar al tomtom.Lo que es sacar un producto al mercado que la gente deposite su confianza y su dinero en LG y nos den una patada.El LN 500 me manda ir por direcciones prohibidas,calles que desconoce,tramos de autopista. que no figuran, un caos,si le haces caso, en ocasiones te puedes quedar sin puntos.A fecha 16 de octubre del 2008 en LG siguen diciendo que la actualizacion esta apunto se salir

Probad a actualizarlo al tomtom 6. Yo voy a probarlo en un rato, a ver si así va mejor.
