Compuesta de tres exclusivos modelos (200, 250 y 270), ofrece como puntos fuertes: completos mapas en 2D y 3D, sistema antirrobo, pantalla de 3,5 pulgadas de gran resolución y botón de fácil acceso para rápido bloqueo de pantalla, además de claras indicaciones por voz.
Presentada en Alemania en la reciente feria de informática CeBIT, esta nueva línea de producto se compone de equipos de gran ligereza y elegante diseño, provistos de las más elevadas prestaciones. Y todo ello a un precio muy asequible.
Unos navegadores que han sido desarrollados pensando en las necesidades del usuario actual, que precisa de dispositivos ultrafinos y ligeros para poder transportarlos en cualquier bolsillo.
Así, disponen de un reducido grosor de 2 cm y un peso de tan sólo 148 gramos, características físicas que, además de su transporte, facilitan enormemente el poder utilizarlos a pie, ya que caben en la palma de la mano.
Sus puntos fuertes
Los Nüvi 200 destacan también por presentar una pantalla táctil QVGA TFT a todo color de elevada resolución (320×240 píxeles) y un tamaño de 3,5 pulgadas, que permite visualizar cómodamente los mapas y las diferentes opciones de menú de las que dispone.
Otro de sus puntos fuertes es el botón de bloqueo que llevan integrado. Un práctico control que bloquea el navegador, evitando así que se interrumpa su programación de ruta si el usuario presiona la pantalla de forma accidental. Además, mientras se está en marcha, el dispositivo
bloquea su pantalla para que el usuario no pueda acceder a los menús ni programar rutas, ofreciendo así la máxima seguridad del conductor al volante y cumpliendo con los consejos que ofrece la Dirección General de Tráfico.
Máxima intuición de uso
Buen ejemplo de su intuitivo uso es que nada más encender el navegador, e inmediatamente después de aparecer el mensaje de bienvenida, en la pantalla se distinguen dos iconos: “Para dónde” y “Ver mapa”, lo que permite a los conductores acceder de una forma rápida y de lo más intuitiva al cálculo de rutas o a un determinado lugar o punto de interés.
Instrucciones de gran precisión
Los tres modelos cuentan con precisas instrucciones giro a giro, ofrecidas mediante mensajes de voz y representadas en mapas en 2D y 3D basados en la avanzada cartografía Navtec. En dichos mapas se recogen un sinfín de puntos de interés, como gasolineras, restaurantes, párquines, grandes
almacenes y hoteles, entre muchos otros. Pero, además, informan sobre la ubicación de los radares de velocidad que se van encontrando por cada carretera .
Extras que marcan la diferencia
Todos los Nüvi 200 cuentan con GARMIN Lock, un sistema antirrobo exclusivo que bloquea el equipo hasta que el usuario introduce una clave de cuatro dígitos o lo lleve a un lugar previamente definido.
Asimismo, destacan por estar provistos de una ranura para tarjetas de memoria, lo que permite ampliar su capacidad interna para introducir posteriores cartografías de otros países. A esto se añaden otros prácticos extras: hora mundial y un conversor de monedas y unidades, así como un diccionario y un práctico traductor en diferentes idiomas.
Por otra parte, los nuevos GPS de GARMIN presentan batería de Ion Litio con una autonomía máxima de hasta 5 horas en funcionamiento. También ofrecen la posibilidad de conectarse mediante puerto USB al ordenador para poder descargar, por ejemplo, las actualizaciones de los mapas.

Finalmente, la gama Nüvi 200 se acompaña de serie de un soporte ventosa de gran calidad y robustez que permite ubicar el GPS en el salpicadero o el cristal del parabrisas del coche, sin ningún tipo de vibración cuando el automóvil está en marcha.

Los tres modelos de la serie Nüvi 200 se diferencian en función de las necesidades geográficas de cada usuario. De esta forma, el modelo 200 integra los mapas de España y Portugal; el 250, los de toda Europa; y el 270, de Europa y Norteamérica. En breve, también estarán disponibles
