Será la filial británica de la operadora china de Hong Kong,
Hutchison 3, la primera en presentar servicios móvies 3G
en Europa, tal como ya se anunció en el congreso 3GSM en Cannes.
Y esta operadora ya ha puesto a la venta sus tres primeros
móviles en el Reino Unido, que serán comercializados directamente y también a
través de las cadenas detallistas Dixons y Carphone Warehouse.
Los tres modelos son fabricados por NEC y Motorola y parten
con un precio inicial de 399 libras. La operadora, financia, la compra de los
terminales hasta un año sin cobrar intereses,
Hutchison está ya informando acerca de los nuevos usos de los teléfonos, que
incluirían las videoconferencias o la emisión de jugadas significativas de los
partidos de fútbol.
