Qualcomm está trabajando con Microsoft y con diversos fabricantes de dispositivos como LG, HTC y Samsung para apoyar el lanzamiento de la primera generación de teléfonos basados en Windows Phone con la aportación de su procesador Snapdragon. El nuevo dispositivo móvil se presentó este miércoles en Madrid.
Estos dispositivos aprovecharán el procesador Snapdragon QSD8x50, que incorpora una unidad de procesamiento central (CPU) basada en ARM de 1GHz, procesador de gráficos (GPU), motores multimedia y GPS y conectividad inalámbrica.
Estos dispositivos ofrecen un mejor rendimiento del interfaz de usuario de Windows Phone 7, concentradores y otras aplicaciones de entretenimiento o de productividad; acceso inalámbrico rápido y mejora en la experiencia de juego través de Xbox LIVE! y acceso a la mejor música con Zune.
Igualmente ofrecen contenido personalizado en función de la ubicación del usuario así como visionado e intercambio de fotografías y vídeo de alta calidad.
Los procesadores móviles Snapdragon de Qualcomm ayudan a redefinir la movilidad para los usuarios de todo el mundo, a través de una combinación óptima de rendimiento, potentes capacidades multimedia, conectividad inalámbrica y consumo energético optimizado.
Según informó Qualcomm en un comunicado los usuarios de Windows 7 Phone pueden esperar un “alto nivel de integración y de colaboración sin precedentes entre el hardware, el software y los servicios en sus dispositivos”.
El presidente de Qualcomm Internet Services, Rob Chandhok, asegura que “la plataforma de Qualcomm es el complemento perfecto para llevar a los Windows Phone un diseño atractivo e integrar experiencias en la vida real”. “Tus aplicaciones, redes sociales, tus videos… en definitiva tu vida móvil, funcionan mejor en un Snapdragon”, dijo Chandhok.
